Biography

Dustin Nickerson, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in nephrology. Originally born and raised in Mesa, AZ, and now residing in the Greater Queen Creek area, Dustin earned his medical qualification from Northern Arizona University.

At Southwest Kidney Institute, Dustin provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with particular expertise in acute nephrology and clinic-based CKD management. .

Dustin’s care philosophy centers on compassion and teamwork: “I believe in caring for others by listening to them, having compassion, and bringing the entire team together to meet their needs. Often, the best philosophy is to love first and treat second.”

He is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Renal Physicians Association (RPA), and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). A dedicated member of his community, Dustin serves weekly in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, building imaginative LEGO creations, exploring new cultures and cuisines, traveling, and playing or coaching a variety of sports.
