Biography
Benjamin Kwesi Sarsah, MD, FACP, is a board-certified nephrologist. Originally from Ghana, Dr. Sarsah earned his medical degree from the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST, Ghana; completed residency training in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago; and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Arizona.
At Southwest Kidney Institute in NW Tucson, Dr. Sarsah provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on glomerulonephritis and peritoneal dialysis. His published research includes “Renal replacement therapy in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome: a single-center retrospective study” and “Leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin 2-associated renal amyloidosis: a case report.” Dr. Sarsah currently serves in a teaching role for the Northwest Medical Center Residency Program in Tucson.
Dr. Sarsah is fluent in Akan and has been named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2022. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology.
