Mohammad Wisam Baqdunes, MD, is a board-certified iInternal medicine physician recognized for his expertise in Nephrology and Critical Care. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University- Faculty of Medicine;, completed his residency training in iInternal Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago- St. Francis Hospital; and fellowship training in Nephrology and Critical Care at Allegheny General Hospital.
At Southwest Kidney Institute, Dr. Baqdunes provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on acute kidney injury and hypertension. He has published research on “Diet induced Oxalate Nephropathy” and “The prevalence of the PICC line among CKD patients”. He serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Internet Medicine Nephrology Faculty, Midwestern University/Mountain Vista Medical Center.
Dr. Baqdunes is fluent in Arabic and received the Educator of the Year 2022-2023, Mountain Vista Hospital. . He is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN) and the Fellow of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM).
