Biography
Richard Flick, M.D. is a board-certified Nephrologist. Originally from Ravenna, Ohio, Dr. Flick earned his medical degree from Northern Ohio Medical University, completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center, Akron Ohio, and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
At Thunderbird office, Southwest Kidney, Dr. Flick provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on Home Dialysis and General nephrology. He has published research on the use of thyroid hormone to improve acute kidney injury outcomes, and serves as Medical Director for Southwest Kidney/DaVita Arrowhead Lakes (in-center hemodialysis, home peritoneal dialysis).
Dr. Flick has been named a Top Doc in Arizona, 2007/2008. He is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the Renal Physicians Association. Outside of medicine, he enjoys golf, cycling, pickleball, hiking, and skiing.
