Biography
Shailesh J. Patel, DO, is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine; completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark; and fellowship training in Nephrology at MCP/Hahnemann University, now part of Drexel University College of Medicine.
At Southwest Kidney Institute in Surprise and Boswell, Dr. Patel provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on Nephrology and hypertension.
He is fluent in Gujarati and an active member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) and the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA).
