Biography

Shefali Goel Gupta, MD is a board-certified Nephrologist recognized for her expertise in Internal Medicine. Dr. Gupta earned her medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla India, completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center, and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

At Scottsdale, Dr. Gupta provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on Kidney Transplant and Glomerulonephritis. She has published research on “Measurement of Equivalent Urea Clearance with Continuous Slow Efficiency Dialysis (C-SLED)” and “Ring-enhancing brain lesion in a man with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome”, and serves as a JV Board Member.

When interacting with her patients, Dr. Gupta’s care philosophy is “Throughout my career, caring for patients has taught me that true healing comes from compassion, respect, and attentive care. This philosophy has not only shaped the lives of others but has also transformed me.”

Dr. Gupta is fluent in Hindi and received First Position in Texas Chapter Southeast Region Associates Day – Doctors Dilemma Competition – American College of Physicians. She volunteers at Path to Wellness- A program of the National Kidney Foundation. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, especially healthy meals and experimenting with new recipes, as cooking brings her family together, creating lasting bonds and joyful moments shared in the warmth of their home.
