Board Certified & Fellowship Trained Nephrologist

Stephen Schinker, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist with fellowship training in
transplant nephrology. Dr. Schinker earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center; completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio; and fellowship training in nephrology at the same institution.

At Southwest Kidney Institute Dr. Schinker provides comprehensive kidney care across Central Phoenix, Mesa, and Tempe with a clinical focus on transplant nephrology. He is also an active member of the American Society of Nephrology.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with family, mountain biking, and music.
