Biography
Wina Yousman, MD, MSc, is a board-certified nephrologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease. She earned her medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Padjadjaran University in Indonesia; completed her residency training in internal medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (in Tucson; and fellowship training in Nephrology at the same institution.
At Southwest Kidney Institute in Flagstaff, Dr. Yousman delivers patient-centered kidney care with a clinical focus on chronic kidney disease, hypertension, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), and glomerular disorders including glomerulonephritis, membranous nephropathy, lupus nephritis, and ANCA-associated vasculitis.
Dr. Yousman has contributed to research on kidney transplant outcomes and emerging therapies in chronic kidney disease, including studies on infection and rejection rates in transplant patients and the use of SGLT2 inhibitors in CKD. She also serves as Faculty for the Internal Medicine Residency in Verde Valley Medical Center, where she mentors future physicians in nephrology and internal medicine
She is fluent in Indonesian and was honored with the Program Director’s Outstanding Humanism and Professionalism Award from The University of Arizona Department of Medicine in 2019. She is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and exploring the natural beauty of Northern Arizona.
