Board Certified & Fellowship Trained Nephrologist

Yun Chong, MD, is a board-certified nephrologist who provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine at Chicago; completed his residency in internal medicine at Wilford Hall Medical Center, United States Air Force in San Antonio, TX; and fellowship training in nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

At Southwest Kidney Institute, Dr. Chong focuses on general nephrology and is committed to delivering patient-centered kidney care.

He is fluent in Korean and an active member of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN). Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and playing golf.
