Rajiv Poduval

Rajiv Poduval, MD, FASN

Since 2011, Rajiv Poduval, MD has served as the president of Southwest Kidney Institute (SKI), one of the country’s premier nephrology groups. Southwest Kidney Institute is a well-diversified company including Southwest Vascular Centers, Southwest Clinical Research Institute, SKI Properties, and SKI-DaVita Dialysis Centers. Under his leadership, SKI has expanded its physician base, achieved its desired market density, and strengthened its statewide business partnerships. Dr. Poduval was instrumental in launching the SKI-DaVita-Banner ESCO in Phoenix and Tucson, bringing together three progressive organizations committed to value-based care.  Dr. Poduval completed both his nephrology and transplant nephrology fellowships at the University of Chicago and has been practicing both specialties in the Phoenix metro for over 15 years. Under his guidance, SKI’s transplant division has developed into one of the largest in the state. He serves as the Medical Director of the Davita Papago Dialysis Unit, Phoenix, is a 2-time recipient of the ‘Medical Director Excellence Award’ for Davita’s Westside Division, and has been recognized as a “top doc” in Phoenix Magazine.  In addition to holding faculty appointments at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and the Creighton University School of Medicine, Dr. Poduval has been recognized for his excellence in teaching. He is also a member of RPA’s NCAP steering committee.   In 2012, the Renal Care Organization (RCO) was launched. Dr. Poduval has served as RCO’s CEO since its founding, and the RCO’s growing national footprint is a testament to his commitment to build “partnerships without boundaries,” a model in which like-minded nephrologists can share a platform of clinical excellence committed to high-quality population health initiatives. He is also the CEO of RCO Analytics, which hosts one of the largest CKD databases in the country.  Dr. Poduval also serves as the CEO of Global Nephrology Solutions (GNS), a physician-led practice management company, that leverages the power of a growing physician network, robust data analytics, and creative population health initiatives to keep physicians relevant, independent, and at the center of patient-care delivery. 
Pradeep

Pradeep Mehra, MD

Pradeep Mehra, MD is the Vice President of Operations for SKI and is a practicing physician at the Tempe location.  Included in his leadership responsibilities are practice operations, marketing and human resources management. During his tenure, SKI has added experienced practice management leaders and developed consistent operational processes across the organization to support a seamless, integrated patient experience. SKI’s patient portal was also implemented under Dr. Mehra’s tenure, fulfilling SKI’s commitment to timely and convenient communication with patients. Practicing for more than 30 years, Dr. Mehra was voted as a “Top Doc” in Phoenix Magazine. Dr. Mehra is Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He did a Nephrology fellowship at State University of New York, Syracuse and completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Gurdev Singh

Gurdev Singh, MD

Gurdev Singh, MD is Vice President of Finance for SKI as well as Chairman of the organization’s Information Technology (IT) department.  A founding member of RCO, he is also the organization’s Chief Information Officer.  With a passion for using data analytics to improve outcomes, Dr. Singh led the implementation of AthenaHealth electronic medical records (EMR) across SKI as well as spearheaded the employment of pMD mobile charge capture resulting in improvement in timely collections. Active in the nephrology medical community, Dr. Singh is on the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Ambulatory committee and is a liaison to the HIMSS Clinical Business Intelligence committee.  In addition, he is the Medical Director of the Davita Sweetwater Ridge Dialysis Center in Peoria. Dr. Singh enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge and is an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Midwestern University and also mentors medical and physician assistant students. Board Certified, Dr. Singh completed a nephrology fellowship at State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and his residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
